Hats: Eh, whatcha gonna do! I'm just happy we can do this!
Summer: Did you have a good day?
Hats: Yeah, pretty good! Been relaxing today, been so busy lately!
Summer: How have you been holding up?
Hats: Well, I'm doing all my classes over Zoom now, which is kinda working out okay, but it's still weird. At least college kids pay better attention than high school. So that's the usual full day, then Jake and I are trading off making sure the kids are keeping up with their schoolwork, which is going well, but man it's draining!
Hats: But enough about me! How've you been? Hanging in down there?
Summer: Oh, yeah, hanging in! We're holding down the fort in the maternity ward, keeping everything as sterile as possible, so it's actually not too bad here at the moment. Probably scrubbed my fingerprints clean off though! And it's exhausting and crazy, like being an intern all over again, but without the youthful energy! But despite all that, it's actually kind of better, like in terms of doing the job of doctoring? We're kind of cutting through all the bullshit, all the red tape, just getting things done!
Hats: Wow, that's awesome!
Summer: Yeah, yeah.
